The problem

I recorded a 15 minute voice memo, and when I went to listen back, I had to wait through all of the pauses in my speech due to thinking about what to say next. I started thinking about ways to solve this problem, and inevitably remembered that Google already had a tool for this in it’s Podcasts application: Trim Silence. I sketched out what the design could look like and created a mock up in Illustrator, converted the project to a PSD, and finally animated it using After Effects
